Rachel was born and raised in Connecticut and ventured all over the US pursuing her career in business supporting Information Technology/Telecommunication endeavors at Fortune 500 companies.
She entered the world of loss in 1992 when her husband suddenly passed away leaving her with a 2-year-old daughter. Her experience in management in large corporations led her to publish Grief in the Workplace: A comprehensive guide for being prepared supporting the workplace. Rachel is the author of best-seller Living with Loss, One Day at a Time, Finding Peace, One Piece at a Time: What to do with yours and a loved one’s possessions, has published numerous articles, podcasts, has appeared on Good Morning America and has spoken nationally on all aspects of loss. As a national speaker, author, coach and facilitator, Rachel tackles today’s challenges to help provide encouragement to those who are suffering a loss or set-back. Rachel has served on numerous not-for-profit Boards; and is a founding board member and was Executive Director of HeartLight Center.
Rachel partakes in an active lifestyle with her husband Taner and daughter Gretchen. Rachel’s commitment to Soaring Spirits International is her belief that “together we can find hope, a new direction and a will to live life to its fullest.”
