Pamela Perkins Dwyer is a professional fundraiser, an advocate for women’s rights, musician, and a successful leader in the nonprofit sector.

She is currently the Major Gifts Officer at the Los Angeles Master Chorale, a resident company of The Music Center in Los Angeles.

Pamela believes that her more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and positively stewarding donors has led to her principal and major gift success.

She currently serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals US Foundation Board of Directors in Washington, D.C. where she previously served on the Association’s Global Board of Directors. She is an active board of directors’ member of the New West Symphony Orchestra of Thousand Oaks, CA and the Equal Justice Society of Oakland, CA. She is the past president of the American Association of University Women (Camarillo), the immediate past president of the Channel Island Chapter of the Links, Inc. and the former co-president and board member of the Santa Barbara/Ventura chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Her numerous other professional affiliations include the National Flute Association, the Musicians Union, the League of American Orchestras, and the Arts Council.

Pamela earned her Bachelor’s degree from Howard University, and her Master’s degree from Boston University and received her Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Pamela and her husband Thomas live in Simi Valley with their Welsh Terrier Chauncey.
