Jennie’s beloved late husband, Mike, knew he wanted to be with her forever 10 days after meeting her. We know this is true because he wrote it in a letter and it is forever memorialized on her left forearm.

Thirty years together would never be enough but in the 30 years granted to them, they built a beautiful life filled with three children, eleven grandchildren, careers, travel, family, friends and golf. A yearly golf tournament raises funds for scholarships and the entire community comes together to support Mike’s–and now Jennie’s–vision outside Fargo, ND.

Since losing Mike in September of 2022, Jennie finds purpose in volunteering with Camp Widow and Soaring Spirits, helping sponsor an annual golf tournament, keeping Mike’s memory alive in their children and grandchildren, and giving love and support to widowed people in her community. A payroll and HR expert of 20 plus years by day, her nights and weekends are filled with sharing her light and Mike’s with their community. She has been especially honored to bring corporate awareness to the all-encompassing nature of the grief experience.

Jennie loves travel, her family and friends, not cooking a dang thing and continuing to give Mike heart palpitations (or whatever the afterlife equivalent) by challenging herself to adventures like flying small planes.
