Izzy Mizell is honored to support the mission of Soaring Spirits as the Manager of Digital Content and Storytelling. Izzy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2022 with a B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a minor in Africana Studies. During their time at Rutgers, Izzy completed an undergraduate thesis paper which went on to receive the Dorothy Balliet Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department, as well as the Henry Rutgers Scholar Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research in the School of Arts and Sciences. Post-graduation, Izzy went on to serve as the program coordinator and social media manager for The New Jersey Coalition of Addiction Recovery Support.

After the sudden passing of their dad in 2021, Izzy developed a passion for connecting with other grieving individuals, sharing resources, and healing through community. Izzy is excited to bring both their experience with social media management and passion for community healing to the Soaring Spirits team.
