Pamela is our Soaring Spirits International Office Administrator. After taking care of her husband Mike for 2 years, who died in February 2016 from kidney cancer, she learned of Soaring Spirits from one of the “You are Not Alone” outreach cards. She decided to attend Camp Widow® Toronto where she learned, to her surprise, that the corporate office was in her own hometown. Upon returning she began as a volunteer after retiring from a corporate trainer position 7 months later and became our office administrator in 2019. Pamela learned of her passion to help other widowed people and has been a past co-leader of our Simi Valley Regional Group.  She is known for “paying it forward” by passing out many ”You Are Not Alone” cards on the train while on the way to our Camp Widow® in San Diego to unknown widowed people she meets along the way.  “Receiving that You are Not Alone card changed my life and Soaring Spirits gave me support, a new purpose in life, and a new community of widowed friends. I will be forever grateful.”
