Debi Rooney-Jaso grew up in Orange County, California. After a short career in retail management she married and dedicated her life to her husband, Bill, and to raising their sons, Patrick, Sean and Colin. When her husband and oldest son died tragically in a plane crash in 2009, she turned to Soaring Spirits to connect with others and learn to cope as a widow. The support proved invaluable and from that experience Debi has dedicated her service to supporting others through the same organization.

After the death of her husband, Debi took over as president of WP Electric & Communications Inc., the company her husband founded in 1975. She speaks on occasion about widowhood at various events and is a frequent guest contributor to the KKLA radio show, “Real Life with Gina Pastore and David James.” Debi is involved in ministry at her church helping others journey through the pain that comes from grief and loss. One of her greatest joys is being involved in the lives of her 5 (soon to be 6) grandchildren.
