The ride was VERY well organized and I loved all the colored arrows on the road to remind us when to turn.

Century 100 Miles

Our Century route travels around Simi Valley, then through our neighboring communities of Moorpark, Somas and Camarillo. You will travel over rolling hills through citrus and avocado groves and then spill into the farmlands of Camarillo and Moorpark back to the finish in Simi Valley. This is a tough, but scenic route that will leave your legs certain that they’ve done some work!
100 Challenge Course

Our Challenge Century features approx. 7,100 feet of climbing and includes the climb at Balcom Canyon. A steep ascent followed by a fast switchback descent down Grimes Canyon earns this challenge century its name.
100 Bypass Course
Start time: 7:00am
The Bypass Century approx. 6,300 feet of climbing but does not include the climb at Balcom. You will still power through 6,300 feet of climbing over your hundred miles, but will pass by the ascent up the canyon.
Metric Century 62 Miles
Start time: 7:30am
Not quite up to a 100 miles, but want to do more than 50? Our Metric Century option is the perfect choice! With approx. 4,800 feet of climbing it’s a fantastic day out.

MTB/Gravel Challenge Route
Start time: 7:45am
This is a 40 mile mixed surface ride (Street and Fire Road) that will challenge the most athletic and experienced riders due to the punchy climbs including the Runkle Wall to Albertsons Fire Road (10% -14 % grade). This route incorporates a sample of trails in Simi Valley including the Big Sky Trail network, Tapo Canyon trail, Chivo Canyon trail, Runkle Canyon Fire Road, Albertson Fire Road, and the East Long Canyon Fire Road. Of the 40 mile route, approximately 17 miles are on dirt fire roads.

There will be no aid stations on the dirt sections of this ride. There will be two rest stops on the street portion of this route, one at mile 19 before you enter the Runkle Canyon Fire Road and the 2nd rest stop at mile 31 at the end of the dirt section of this ride (Long Canyon parking lot).
General Information
- This is not a race – it’s a fun ride!
- All bikes need some sort of bell to alert other trail users.
- Observing good trail etiquette is especially important during this ride.
- Bike gearing recommendations: Due to the steep sections of this ride it is recommended that your bike has a low gear < .94 (Chainring 34 T/ Sprocket 36 T) and tire .38mm or wider.
There will be a course cut-off time established for reaching the 1st rest stop (before the Runkle Canyon fire road). If you arrive at the rest stop after 10:00am – you will be asked to ride the road to the 2nd rest stop ILO starting Runkle Canyon.
